This massive celebrity nude leak has pissed me off beyond belief, and the justifications people are using when posting them pisses me off even more and this comment just put me over the edge:
Let me start out by saying this if you are someone who has posted any of these photos, unfollow this blog right fucking now. Yesterday and today has really shown how the rampant victim blaming, rape culture is still in full effect. All these women have had their personal private photos compromised and people seem to lose all sense of humanity. They are still human beings, being a celebrity does not mean they deserve no privacy and have their bodies publicly displayed without their permission. A celebrity chooses to act on the big screen, the invasion of privacy comes from people with this type of mentality. It’s pretty disturbing that people can’t see that this is wrong.
And let’s not even fucking pretend that a male celebrity getting a nude picture leaked is even close to the same thing. Name me one male celebrity who’s career has been ruined due to nude leaks. None. For female celebrities it haunts their whole career and can even ruin it, which looks like it might become the case for Mckayla Maroney. I still think it’s disgusting if a male celeb gets his privacy compromised but this argument is just getting brought to take away from the problem at hand.
These are not “our nudes.” We do not own these women’s bodies and we do not have the right to look at these pictures. You are putting your self gratification over real people and trying to excuse it. It’s gross. and all your justifications are bullshit, end of story.
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — An Oklahoma City police officer was charged Friday with 16 counts including first-degree rape and sexual battery after being accused of assaulting at least eight women while on patrol.
Daniel Holtzclaw, 27, also faces charges of forcible oral sodomy and indecent exposure. Holtzclaw, a former standout football player in high school and college, was arrested Aug. 21. He remained in custody on a $5 million cash bond Friday, according to jail records.
He is accused of stopping women, who were all black and between the ages of 34 and 58, while on duty in Oklahoma City. Prosecutors allege that he raped two women and either fondled others or forced them to expose themselves, and police said there may be more victims.
